How Root Chakra Focus Released Me from the Hospital
In this piece, I want to share a bit about the Root Chakra and how it played a huge role in my own healing journey.
So, there I was, sitting in the hospital, feeling like the walls were closing in on me. The doctors said I might be stuck there for a lot longer because of complications, and honestly? It was a really tough pill to swallow. I mean, who wants to hear that?
But instead of just accepting that as my fate, I decided to take a different approach.
I turned my focus to my chakras, which, you know, might sound a bit out there, but hear me out. I focused on my Root Chakra. That’s the one that’s all about feeling safe and grounded—basically, it's what keeps you stable, physically and emotionally. And let me tell you, that focus became a huge part of my healing journey.
Miraculously, I ended up doing a 180 and leaving the hospital way earlier than anyone expected.
It was honestly a bit of a surprise! The whole experience made me realize just how powerful these energy centers are. So, in this post, I really want to share how connecting with my Root Chakra changed the game for me during my recovery.

From Bedridden to Thriving: My Root Chakra Healing Journey
It was summertime, and the sun was shining bright—just perfect. I had this lightbulb moment: I wasn’t going to let the medical system dictate my fate when I knew my own spiritual knowledge was way stronger than any meds they could offer.
Even with a saline drip attached, I could still move, so I slipped on my shoes and wheeled my IV outside to a beautiful patch of green grass. I kicked off my shoes, feeling the earth beneath my feet.
Why did I do this? Well, stick around to find out…
So there I was, lying under a thin, scratchy sheet in the hospital bed, feeling completely overwhelmed. It wasn't my first surgery, not even close—especially not for my pesky digestive issues. The last time I had this particular surgery, I was out and about the very next day, ready to bounce back.
But then, the surgeon dropped the bombshell: my digestive system was acting up and that my stay would be longer than expected. “Maybe a week, or who knows, maybe longer” he said, while I just stared at him, stunned as I’d already spent many a night in hospital and I hated it.
At that moment, it felt like the world went silent, like I was underwater.
All the hospital noises faded away, and I was left feeling powerless and confused, my mind racing with questions about how long I'd be trapped there, again.
Honestly, it took a good hour—or maybe more—of wrestling with my emotions before I remembered all I’d learned about energetic healing and how powerful the mind really is.
I suddenly realized: I wasn’t just a bystander in my health journey. I knew something he didn’t, and I was determined to prove him wrong.
Root Chakra 101: What It Is and Why Your Health Depends on It
For those who might not know, the Root Chakra is the first of the seven chakras in our body. It’s red and hangs out at the base of the spine. Think of it as your lifeline to the earth—kind of like the foundation of a house. It’s super important for both physical and mental health.
When your Root Chakra gets blocked or out of whack, you might deal with:
Digestive problems
Issues with blood, bones, or joints
Lower back pain, including sciatica or discomfort in your legs, spine, knees, and feet
Inflammation and immune system problems
Feelings of insecurity, anxiety, or constant worry
A lack of confidence, feeling unworthy or powerless
A tendency toward low mood or even depression
But the good news? You can work on balancing and opening your Root Chakra to improve—or even eliminate—these symptoms.
I can’t stress enough how different life feels when your Root Chakra is open versus when it’s closed. It’s honestly a game changer.
Before I dive back into my story, here are some positive changes I noticed after really focusing on my Root Chakra:
I felt safe and secure, which helped clear my mind of worries.
My body became stronger and healthier—no more constant colds or ailments
Confidence? Oh yeah, it came rushing back. I didn’t feel small or unworthy anymore.
I had more energy, a sense of vitality—I was ready to live life to the fullest.
I took pride in caring for my body and felt better about my image.
And guess what? My digestive issues? Gone! Haven’t been back to the hospital in years.
How My Focus on the Root Chakra Defied Medical Expectations
There are loads of ways to open and balance the Root Chakra, but today I want to highlight two: Grounding and Visualization. Grounding is all about getting your bare skin—especially your feet—connected to the earth, whether it’s grass, sand, or any natural surface.
Believe it or not, science backs up grounding! It can promote significant healing because of those free electrons in the earth. Plus, since ‘Earth’ is the element tied to the Root Chakra, grounding does wonders for it.
Then there’s visualization and meditation—another powerful combo for balancing the Root Chakra.
I merged these techniques into a 30-minute session and, spoiler alert, it totally defied medical expectations.
So, there I was, sitting on the grass with a saline drip hanging beside me. I took off my shoes and socks, feeling the cool, green blades beneath my bare feet, then I shut my eyes. Keeping my feet firmly planted on the earth, I visualized this red, glowing sphere right at the base of my spine, and I started breathing—slow and deep.
With each breath in, I imagined that red sphere getting bigger and stronger. And on the exhale, I tried to let go of all the tension that had built up earlier in the day. I kept at it for about 20 to 30 minutes, just lost in the moment before I finally headed back to my hospital bed.
When I plopped down on the bed, I felt so much more relaxed, way calmer than I had earlier that day. Later, the doctor swung by for another check-up.
After examining me, he said I could go home. I still remember the look on his face—kind of puzzled. Just eight hours before, he was convinced I’d be stuck there for at least a week!
Curious, I asked him, “What changed?”—knowing full well that it was my little meditation session that had worked wonders. He shrugged and said, “I don’t know, these things just happen sometimes,” and mentioned that my digestive system had started functioning normally again.
A rush of relief washed over me. Finally, I’d get to sleep in my own bed that night!
Now, I'm sharing this story, not just for kicks, but to highlight how powerful our minds can be. Simple practices can seriously change the course of your life.
I could've easily decided to stay cooped up in bed, wallowing in despair. If I had, who knows how long I would’ve been stuck in that hospital, or what other treatments I might have needed?
The thing is, your life… It's in your hands. You really do hold the key to your own health and happiness.
Sure, we all hit those rough patches—believe me, I've been there more times than I can count—but you can always turn things around. Every single day is a fresh chance to shape your own destiny.
So I created this website to share my story and help other people heal their health through energy work because its absolutely transformed my life and it can do the same for others.
